The Beer - our varieties of craft beer

Bayne Brewing Company offers several different types of craft beer in Cornelius, NC.  Our selections will rotate based on the season and availability of certain ingredients.  Here is a list of some of the staple flavors.  To see we're pouring this week visit our "Menu" page.  We like to think we offer the best craft beers in the area, so come on in and give our brews a try!

Pale Ale is a nice, smooth, easy drinking pale colored ale that captures a bit of traditional English-style ale while infusing a bit of America into it.  It has a light malt background with a slight hop finish to it providing balance and drinkability.  It is also the beer that is infused with jalapenos for a different, spicy drinking experience.  This low alcohol (4.8%) beer is perfect any time of the year.

Brown Ale is a beer with hints of chocolate and caramel.  The Willamette hop gives this almost sweet beer its balance while the East Kent Goldings give it that nice, moderate, bitter finish.  Aromas of biscuit and malt really make this a great complement to most meals, and its modest alcohol content (5.5%) makes it a beer that can be enjoyed without worry.

IPA is a well-hopped, pale colored beer.  The aroma is of citrus and pineapple with some grassy tones.  This has a light sweetness from the crystal malt.  The big hop finish comes from a mixture of Centennial, Chinook, and Horizon hops.  The bitterness is strong, but not overpowering.

Bourbon-aged stout is a dry, Irish stout that has a roasted malt background, giving it that coffee, chocolate base.  The combination of Centennial and Challenger hops give it just enough hop bitterness to balance the beer, but not overpower it.  The beer is aged with bourbon to bring out an extra smoky-sweet character to it.  The light, creamy head on it makes it a pleasant beer to drink.
